Privacy Policy

The short version

This site collects one thing: the email address you give me if you join the list. There's no ad tracking, no cookies that follow you around, and no analytics script running in the background. Here's exactly what happens to your data.

What I collect

The only personal information this site collects is the email address you submit through the "Join the list" form. I don't collect your name, phone number, location, or anything else through the site itself.

How the signup form works

The email form runs on Netlify Forms, the same service that hosts this site. When you submit your email, it's sent directly to my Netlify dashboard. I use it for one purpose: to let you know when a new article or tool goes up. Netlify's infrastructure may log standard technical details of the submission, like your IP address, as part of processing the form. I don't access or use that beyond what Netlify shows me in the dashboard. You can read Netlify's own privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy for how they handle it on their end.

I don't currently use a separate email marketing platform. If that changes, for example if I move the list to a dedicated email service, I'll update this page before I do it.

Cookies and analytics

This site doesn't use cookies to track you, and it doesn't run Google Analytics or any other analytics or advertising script. Netlify's hosting keeps standard server logs, the same kind almost every web host keeps to run the site reliably. Nothing here is built to profile you or follow you to other websites.

Third parties

A short list of everyone who touches this site's data or infrastructure:

I don't sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone, and I never will.

How long I keep it, and your rights

I keep your email address for as long as you're subscribed. You can unsubscribe any time using the link in any email I send, or contact me directly (below) and I'll remove it manually. If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have rights under GDPR or CCPA to request access to, or deletion of, your data. I'll honor that request for anyone who asks, regardless of where you live.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If how I collect or use data changes, I'll update this page and update the "last updated" date at the top. Questions about this policy or a request about your data: reach me on LinkedIn.
